WorldBoston facilitates international exchange and public discussitons of foreign policy and international affairs through two primary programs: Emerging Leaders and World Affairs

EMERGING LEADERS
Emerging Leaders is WorldBoston's flagship program for professional development and
one-on-one diplomacy. Annually, through
its two projects, Community
Connections and International
Visitors, the Emerging Leaders
Program makes over 3,500 matches with local counterparts for some 500
professionals from 120 countries. Rising entrepreneurs from abroad and people from the Boston area benefit
from these business and cultural ties.
A professional couple living in Medford hosted in their home a Ukrainian lawyer during his month-long internship at a Boston law firm.
Delta Air lines, Management Recruiters International, Tufts University
and Brigham & Women’s Hospital welcomed business people and
professional counterparts from other countries at office meetings and for job
shadowing.
A WorldBoston member conferred with a visitor from China who is instrumental in the movement to create new regulations for the Chinese stock market.

WORLD AFFAIRS
Forums, renowned speakers on and off the record, and defense-related and cultural tours provide local Bostonians with timely information and opportunities to explore important world issues. Recent programs focused on the role that religion plays in shaping U.S. foreign policy, Turkey and the European Union, and Global Poverty. Our events regularly attract the corporate, diplomatic, business, academic and professional communities.
Ambassador L. Paul Bremer spoke about his time in Iraq and the challenges in the region.
Jeff Sachs spoke about his work on the U.N. Millennium Development Goals to combat poverty worldwide.
The Great Decisions discussion series at the Boston Public Library, featuring top experts, considered Water Issues and seven other topics.
