WorldBoston
Internship Opportunities
Application instructions and recommended submission dates for all internships are located at the bottom of this page.
WorldBoston provides a private, non-profit, non-partisan forum for educating the public about matters of national and international significance. We do this by presenting an ongoing series of distinguished speakers and by bringing to Boston emerging leaders from around the world for the purpose of sharing ideas, discovering opportunities for mutual growth, and creating bonds of friendship and understanding.
WorldBoston is comprised of two programs, World Affairs and Emerging Leaders.
World Affairs promotes international awareness in the greater Boston area through educational programs. It organizes lectures, panel discussions, trips, professional and business conferences and other programs with prominent speakers—ambassadors, professors, business leaders and other experts—for the benefit of our members, the public and distinguished guests. Approximately 50 events are held every year. The World Affairs is strives to educate, inform and foster understanding of international affairs; and to provide accessibility for the general public to participate in the discussion of global issues.
Emerging Leaders is the professional development arm of WorldBoston that combines cross-cultural business exchange with grassroots diplomatic opportunity for rising leaders from around the globe. The program's primary components are supported in part by two United States Department of State grants: International Visitors and Community Connections. The mission of Emerging Leaders is to engage and develop dynamic thinkers from around the world who will drive global change in the future.
Interns will work on both programs as well as organizational wide projects. This will give all interns the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the organization. Interns will be given the opportunity to express interest in a particular area but will be asked to work on multiple projects.
