The Consuls Reception is a festive gathering that honors the Consular Corps serving Boston and New England, and celebrates WorldBoston’s mission of international engagement and global cooperation. The Consuls Reception draws distinguished guests from business, government, academia and the community to mingle with other internationally-minded leaders over delicious light fare and drinks. This landmark event in Greater Boston’s international calendar takes place in the Harborview Room on the 31st floor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston against a sparkling backdrop of Boston Harbor by night.

Rice served President Barack Obama as National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2017 and as the United States Ambassador to United Nations from 2009 to 2013. Currently, she is Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at the School of International Service at American University, a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times.
