Thursday, November 13th
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM ET
Washington’s relations with Beijing have reached an ominous low ebb. Both American political parties have identified China as the country’s preeminent geopolitical challenger and, in the eyes of many, a systemic threat. What is driving this deterioration of Sino-American relations, and what are America’s strategic options in the face of Chinese power and ambition?
Join WorldBoston for a timely discussion of this topic with Rana Mitter, ST Lee Chair in US-Asia Relations at the Harvard Kennedy School. This program will feature an expert presentation, live audience Q&A, and time for networking and discussion with other globally-oriented participants.
This program is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.

Monday, November 10th
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET
Recent advances in frontier artificial intelligence (AI) models have sparked intense interest in their potential to transform cyber offense and defense alike. How capable are today's AI systems at cyber-relevant tasks? Which emerging capabilities matter most? And as these systems continue to advance, what should defenders, policymakers, and industry do to prepare? This event builds upon the new CNAS report Tipping the Scales: Emerging AI Capabilities and the Cyber Offense-Defense Balance, in which Caleb Withers analyzes the present impact of AI on cyber defense and offense and projects how future frontier AI capabilities could shape the offense-defense balance. An expert panel discussion will feature Andrew Lohn, Senior Fellow at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), Chris Rohlf, Security Engineer at Meta and Non-resident Research Fellow at CSET, and Caleb Withers, Research Associate for the Technology and National Security Program at CNAS.
