Review best practices for preventing and combatting gender-based violence across sectors such as government, civil society, and law enforcement
Discuss techniques to identify forms of gender-based abuse, report abuse, prosecute abusers, and provide assistance and protection to victims of gender-based violence
Improve understanding about how social developments, such as economic opportunities, education, entrepreneurship, political participation, and leadership, can serve as tools for combating violence

Introduce U.S. programs that counter violent extremism and racially and ethnically motivated violent extremism (REMVE), including those that exemplify the relationship between federal, state, and local entities
Explore the underlying conditions that fuel extremism –- political grievances, communal conflicts, social structures, and economic disparity –- and the emerging trends that creatively address them
Examine community-based efforts to counter REMVE-narratives and recruitment, build strong community resistance to violent extremism, and promote tolerance
Discuss how different sectors of American society work together to resist violent extremism, including government, academia, civil society, religious communities, and the private sector

Explore the role of corporate social responsibility programs in developing tech-focused social entrepreneurship

Enhance understanding of ethical systems and accountability in government and business in the United States, including oversight of public procurement and conflict of interests
